Special cover -TN-19-2019 -Summer Solstice (June 21st) 

The summer solstice occurs when the earth's tilt towards the sun is at a maximum. Therefore, on the day of the summer solstice, the day time will be longest in the northern hemisphere. The summer solstice occurs when the sun is directly over the Tropic of cancer, which is located at 23.5° latitude North. The special cover was released on commemorating the occasion of summer solstice -21-06-2019.

Shri Shivakumara Mahaswamiji is a polyglot, spiritual leader, author of 20 spiritual books and founder president of Chidambarashrama Shri Siddharoodha Math, Bidar and Shri Siddharoodha Math, Chalkapura. 19 mathas and 13 educational institutions including Ayurvedic Medical College, Research and P. G. Center, 200 beds charitable hospital, hostels and orphanages were established by Swamiji all over the country.

KARNAPEX 2019, Mangalore

KARNAPEX 2019 - Karnataka Postal Circle is organizing State Level Philatelic Exhibition at Mangaluru from 12th October 2019 to 15th October 2019. It will be under the patronage and guidance of the Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka Circle. This exhibition is being organized by the Karnataka Postal Circle with the active support of Dakshina Kannada Philatelic and Numismatic Association (DAKAPANA), Mangaluru & Karnataka Philatelic Society
