Special Carried Cover on Indian Coir

A carried special cover on Indian Coir issued by Kerala Postal Circle and released   by the Secretary, at Vembanad Kayal post office. The cover was carried in a country boat, which was the traditional mode of conveying coir.

Mail Carried by Tram from Byree to Cuttack

Mahatma Gandhi resumed the second phase of Harijan Padyatra from Byree Railway Station in Jajpur district, Odisha. India Post and Utkal Philatelists' & Numismatics, Association  released a special carried cover on 20th March 2019 to commemorate this historical journey. The cover has been designed by Mr. Ajit Kumar Raut. This special cover was carried by Bhadrak-Cuttack passenger train.

Horse Carried Special Cover...

HORSE CARRIED SPECIAL COVER ON SHAHEED ROSHAN SINGH 

On 19th December 2018, the death anniversary of Shaheed Roshan SINGH, Mr. Sanjay D.Akhade , Senior Superintendent of Post Allahabad , in the presence of Mr. M.P.Singh released a Speacial Horse  Carried Cover, designed by Mr. Ashok Mital President of the Sangam Philatelic club on the concept of  Mr. M.Gulrez,the Secretary of the club,at the Malaka post office .

This release programme was organised by the Shaheed Roshan Singh Smriti trust in association with Department of Post and Sangam Philately Club.

In Kakori Case, Shaheed Roshan Singh was sentenced to death along with Shaheed Ram Prasad Bismil, Rajendra Lehri & Ashfak Ullah  Khan by the British Government .

On the 19th of December 1927 , Shaheed Roshan Singh was hanged at the then Malaka jail which has now converted into Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital. A Statue  of Shaheed Roshan Singh is there in the hospital premises.

After the release of  the Special Horse Carried Cover, the SSPos Mr. Sanjay Akhade handed over the postal bag filled with the covers to the horse rider Sabu.

During the release programme of the Special Horse Carried Cover, the Philatelists  of Prayagraj city along with other dignitaries of the  City were present.

Mr. M. Sharik, Mr. Reshadul Islam,Mr. Rajkumar Pandey (sub post master Malaka post office), Mr. Rajesh Singh & Mr. Nomam from the Prayagraj Philatelic Beauro were also present during the  garlending of the statue of  Shaheed Roshan Singh along with Mr. Sanjay Akhade, M.P.Singh ,M.Gulrez & Ashok Mital.

Boat Carried Special Cover from Allahabad

 Boat Carried  Special Cover

"KEVAT PRASANG-RAMAYAN"

Sangam Philatelic Club, Allahabad with the approval of CPMG U.P. Circle released a BOAT CARRIED COVER "KEVAT PRASANG-RAMAYAN" at Shringverpur branch post office on 16 October 2018 by SSPOs Allahabad, Mr. Sanjay D. Akhade. This special cover was carried by Boat from Shringverpur to Rasoolabad Ghat, Allahabad. Special carried cover is conceived by M. Gulrez and designed by Ashok Mittal.

At a colourful ceremony at the branch post office at Shringverpur, organised by Club's senior vice president M.P.Singh, the symbolic Shri Ram , Mata Sita ,Lakshman ji and Nishadraj along with the duty postman carried the released cover in a well decorated boat from the Ghat of Shringverpur to the Ghat of Rasoolabad where it was received by the post master of Calvert lines post office.

Carried Cover by Science Express…

 

The special cover issued on arrival of Science Express - Biodiversity Special  at Berhampur (Odisha)on 28 July 2012. The covers are carried by SCBS to Vishakhapatanam and delivered there.  The cover is priced at a nominal 100/-.
