Here is new SZEPAC 2014 stamp from Greenland. The newly issued Sepac-stamp from POST Greenland depicts a photo of Rhodiola taken by photographer John Rasmussen. The joint Sepac-theme in 2014 is “Flowers”. In Greenland Rhodiola grows in Southern and Middle Greenland up to the area around Disko Bay on the Western coast and up to the Daneborg area on the Eastern coast.
Rhodiola is primarily used in Greenland as both a spice and in salads. The leaves are used as salad and spinach, the stem is eaten as asparagus and the root is eaten raw or boiled. The dried roots smell of roses and are said to keep away moths and other harmful insects.

A stamp exhibition of the collection of Allahabad philatelist, Mr Ambrish Kumar started today at Allahabad Museum. The exhibition was inaugurated by Senior Advocate and Former President of Kayashtha Pathshala Trust, Shri T.P. Singh. Shri Rajesh Purohit, Director of the Museum welcomed the guest of honour and vote of thanks was given by Dr Prabhakar Pandey. Mr Ambrish Kumar spoke about the importance and value of the stamp collection. On this occasion Smt. Asha Rani, Smt. Mukta Saxena, all the Officers and the Staff Members of the museum, distinguished guests and many visitors were present.
Mr Ambrish recently donated his lifetime collection to Allahabad Museum . The collection of Indian stamps from 1947 to 2013 and special covers issued on Kumbh Mela and other special occasions of Allahabad were displayed in about 150 sheets. The collection features cultural heritage of India, Indian Freedom Movement, prominent personalities, nature wildlife,Cinema and science & technology through stamps and Covers.The exhibition will be continued till 5th February 2014.

KOLAMPEX-2014
A special cover was released on the inaugural function of KOLLMPEX-2014 on 22 January 2014 by Smt. Sumathi Ravichandran PMG (Business Operations). The cover was accepted by Dr.Sivaramankrishna Pillai,Jt.Secretary, Quilon Public Library & Research Centre.
The Quilon Public Library and Research Centre has been the horizon for the prolific lore of the myriad generations that have excelled from this part of Kerala. Quilon Public Library was established in the year 1973. The Quilon Public Library and Research Centre had played a vital role in the cultural development of the people of Kollam. In recognition of its unique contribution towards nurturing the literary and cultural life of Kollam, the postal department issued a special cover in its honour.
