India Post issued a commemorative stamp on Durga Prasad Chaudhary on 31st July 2012. Durgaprasad Chaudhary was the founder of vernacular daily newspaper Dainik Navjyoti.Shri Chaudhary had played an active role in the freedom movement and remarkably contributed to the field of journalism.

This year ‘Shanmukhananda Fine Arts & Sangeetha Sabha (Regd.) Mumbai’ is celebrating its DIAMOND JUBILEE. A special l function was organised recently. Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM, former President was The Chief Guest. A Special cover & Cancellation was released to mark this occasion.
Shri J S ‘RAJ’ GHUMAN was invited by The Chief Post Master General Mumbai to display his stamps collection of “MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS” in a solo exhibition which was inaugurated by Hon. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who is himself a Fine Veena Player and a Connoisseur of Classical Music. Dr Kalam expressed his satisfaction & pleasure on viewing this collection and honored Shri Ghuman with a Shwal .
Rtn Ghuman is a senior stamp collector and well known philatelist. He also has an exhaustive Rotary on Stamps and Pre-Independence collections.
