New stamp from Germany on Environment Protection

The German post has issued a stamp calling to protect the environment.

Natural renewable and nonrenewable resources, like soil, water, air, food and energy are the foundation of our prosperity. The scarcity of key raw materials, along with increased demand, however, leads to rising prices and development of natural resources in areas that are particularly sensitive to human interference.

We need to treat our resources economically and efficiently. Already in the design and production of goods we should achieve with minimal use of raw materials durability and reusability. The material and energy recovery from waste recycling reduces the need for newly mined raw materials. It makes a significant contribution to the conservation of natural resources. The circular economy is a key pillar of the Green Economy - "Waste is a resource!"

World Environment Day 2012 : Theme - Green Economy
The 2012 theme for World Environment Day ( 5th June ) was “Green Economy” :  Evidently, there are two parts to this theme and the first tackles the subject of the Green Economy. The Green Economy is really something that is applicable all around you and it is easy to imagine how you fit in it.
