Jammu and Kashmir Postal circle is organizing a stamp exhibition, CHINAR 2011 from 26 – 29 September 2011 at Sher- I - Kashmir International Convention Centre, Sri Nagar. The exhibition is named ‘Chinar’ as Chinar Tree is the identity of Kashmir. The last State Level Philatelic Exhibition was held at Srinagar during the year 1979 and after span of 32 years this mega event is being conducted again at Srinagar now. Shri N.N Vohra, the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir will inaugurate the Philatelic Exhibition. This exhibition will start the Post Office Festival in Jammu and Kashmir.
