Kerala postal Circle issued Second special cover on Queen's Baton Relay - Commonwealth Games 2010 - New Delhi at Kavaratti, Lakshadweep Island on 27 August 2010.
Lakshadweep is the Union Territory of India and is an archipelago consisting of 12 atolls, 3 reefs and 5 submerged banks. The only coral reef island in India,rich flora and fauna.Great tourist destination for Water sports,Fishing etc.Virgin,Fragile eco-system.A unique and quiet getaway destinations. The Union Territory was formed in 1956 and it was named Lakshadweep in 1973.
