Living Green

Date of Issue : 8 July 2008

I have some beautiful stamps and Max Cards to show you from Australia. The theme of these stamps is very nice and lively 'Living Green'. These beautiful stamps feature two word messages focus on everyday actions we can take to "Live greener". The two word messages on each stamp of 50c are Save water, Reduce Waste,Travel Smart and Save Energy. If we all follow these mesaages, we can save our environment and make it cleaner and brighter.I have also the Max Cards of these issues which explain the theme more clearly. In the next part of this post some information from our member Mr. Niket Bubna. In the last part some beatiful se-tenants from the album of Shri Shrikant Parikh.Just enjoy today's post and have a lovely Green Day !

Live Greener

Niket Bubna Writes from Indore.....
The stamp on Mahabodhi Temple has 'Mahabodhi Mandir' as its vernacular translation where as a stamp issued in the set of stamps on Buddha Mahotsav on 21/01/2002, also on Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhgaya has 'Mahabodhi Vihar' as its translation! I don't know what implication it carries, but I thought it worth sharing it with the readers.
