Doremon stamp from Japan

Japanese post launched the 20th collection of the stamps from the series “Anime Hero Heroine”, traditionally issued in Japan from the year 2005 and depicting characters of popular Japanese anime. This issue is dedicated to “Doraemon”.

Doraemon is a Japanese manga series created by Fujiko Fujio which later became an anime series and an Asian franchise. The series is about an intelligent robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a pre-teen boy, NobitaNobi.

The stamps depict the following episodes of the anime: flying to the flower garden, traveling in the river on the reverse boat, using the travel machine, air walk, Doraemon and his friends. The margin of the stampsheet illustrates Doraemon and friends travelling in the time machine.
