India Post released a commemorative postage stamp on Samrat Vikramadittya on December 22, 2016 . Vikramaditya  was a legendary emperor of ancient India. He is characterised as the ideal king, known for his generosity, courage, and patronage of scholars. There are hundreds of legends about Vikramaditya, including the ones in Baital Pachisi and Singhasan Battisi. Most of the legends present him as a universal ruler with his capital at Ujjain (Pataliputra or Pratishthana in a few stories).

India Post released a set of 4 postage stamps on Near Threatened Birds in the denomination of Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 15, and Rs 25 depicting Nicobar Pigeon, Nilgiri Flycatcher, Andaman Woodpecker, and Black & Orange Flycatcher respectively on October 17, 2016. A miniature sheet and five different sheetlets of 16 stamps each, one for each value and one mixed, were brought out on the occasion. There are no regular sheets for this issue.

Lady Hardinge Medical College is a for women located in New Delhi, India. Established in 1916, it became part of the Faculty of Medical Sciences,University of Delhi in 1950. The college is funded by the Government of India.
