China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition, Wuhan

China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition: Expo opens in Wuhan, attracting collectors from around the world......CHINA 2019, FIP World Stamp Exhibition is being held  at the International Expo Center in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, from June 11 to 17.

Mr Anil Suri is National commissioner from India. It's the third time China is hosting the World Stamp Exhibition. This year's is to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and to demonstrate the achievements of the country.

A total of 87 countries and regions are participating in the exhibition , More than 4,500 frames are on display with exhibits from  China and different parts of the world.

This year, several treasured and unique stamps are being exhibited, including some of the earliest stamp manuscripts in existence. And for the first time, exhibits created by the physically handicapped will also be accepted. Xia Ruixue, CGTN, Wuhan, Hubei province.

CHINA 2019 World Stamp Exhibition





CHINA 2019 General World Stamp Exhibition will be held at Wuhan,International Expo Center.  China from 11 June to 17 June 2019 . 

CHINA 2019 is organized by the State Post Bureau of The People’s Republic of China, coorganized by the Traffic and Communication Office of Hubei Provincial People’s Government, Wuhan Municipal People’s Government, China Post Group and All-China Philatelic Federation in accordance to FIP (Federation Internationale de Philatelie) General Regulations for Exhibitions. CHINA 2019 is managed and run by an Organizing Committee.

Class 1: FIP Championship Class For exhibits that have been awarded three Large Gold medals, in three different years, at World Exhibitions held under FIP Patronage over the last ten years (2009 – 2018) (A Grand Prize counts as a Large Gold medal)

Class 7: Thematic Philately Exhibits will be classified under: A) Nature B) Culture C) Technology Please indicate clearly in the Exhibit Application Form as to the sub-class (A, B or C) the exhibit is entering. Class 8: Maximaphily Class 9: Revenue Class 10: Modern Philately (1980 to date) The objectives are to encourage collectors of Modern Philatelic materials to exhibit at the highest level and to demonstrate to the Postal Administrations that there are an extensive body of philatelists who collect and study materials issued by them after 1980. The Organizing Committee is making this class available for exhibits complying with the FIP special regulations for the various FIP classes. Qualifying exhibits for the Modern Philately must contain philatelic materials issued by the Postal authorities since 1980s. Stamp series of philatelic topics chosen for this class which were substantially issued on/after 1980 are qualified as topics for the Modern Philately. However, the exhibit may include a small percentage of material issued pre1980 that is important and relevant to the exhibit.

The objectives are to encourage collectors of Modern Philatelic materials to exhibit at the highest level and to demonstrate to the Postal Administrations that there are an extensive body of philatelists who collect and study materials issued by them after 1980. The Organizing Committee is making this class available for exhibits complying with the FIP special regulations for the various FIP classes. Qualifying exhibits for the Modern Philately must contain philatelic materials issued by the Postal authorities since 1980s. Stamp series of philatelic topics chosen for this class which were substantially issued on/after 1980 are qualified as topics for the Modern Philately. However, the exhibit may include a small percentage of material issued pre1980 that is important and relevant to the exhibit. Modern Philately exhibits will be judged according to the respective FIP SREVs currently in force for the above-mentioned FIP classes. The distribution of points available recognize that Modern Philatelic material is worthy of study and in many instances is difficult to acquire, treat and present while the short passage of time since their issue has not provided an accurate indication of importance or rarity. FIP medals will be awarded to the appropriate exhibit and they will be recorded in the FIP Awards records. Certificate of Participation will be given to exhibits attaining less than 60 points.

Class 11: Open Philately

Class 13: Youth Philately Age for Group A 10-15 years old Age for Group B 16-18 years old Age for Group C 19-21 years old (All ages as of January 01, 2019) 4 

Class 14: One-Frame Exhibit Exhibits in this class should be based on a narrow subject that is best treated as One frame. An extract from a past International award winning multiple frame exhibits (5 to 8 frames) to One Frame is not allowed.

Awards are presented by Points (60 points to 100 points) and awarded by certificates only. No medals will be awarded. Certificate of Participation will be given to exhibits attaining less than 60 points Exhibits will be classified under: A) Traditional B) Postal History C) Postal Stationery D) Aerophilately E) Astrophilately F) Thematic G) Maximaphily H) Revenue Please indicate clearly in the Exhibit Application Form as to the sub-class (A, B, or C, etc) the exhibit is entering. 

Class 15: Philatelic Literature A) Philatelic books and research papers (published on or after January 01, 2014) B) Philatelic magazines and periodicals (the whole annual volume issued after January 2017) C) Catalogues (published after January 01, January 2017) Exhibitors are requested to fill in the particulars stated in the “Philatelic Literature Exhibit Information Form”, in addition to the “Exhibit Application Form”

 Application and Acceptance 

8.1 Exhibitors shall submit one Exhibit Application Form for each exhibit applied for through the Commissioners of their respective member federations (IREX Article 4.1). 8.2 The Organizing Committee, with the advice of the FIP Consultant, shall have the authority to accept or reject entries without specifying the reason therefore. 


Exhibit Application Forms duly filled shall be submitted through the respective Commissioners to the Commissioner General not later than February 18, 2019. 

When submitting the Exhibit Application Form, the exhibitor shall attach a copy of the introductory page, in one of the FIP’s official languages. 

 Participation Fee 

9.1 There is no fee for Non-Competitive Class entries. 

9.2 The participation fee for Competitive Classes (except Classes 13, 14 & 15) will be US$60 per frame. 

9.3 The participation fee for Youth Philately Class (Class 13) is free. 

9.4 The participation fee for One-Frame Exhibit (Class 14) is US$80 per exhibit. 9.5 The participation fee for Philatelic Literature (Class 15) is US$70 per exhibit. 


Exhibitors in the Philatelic Literature Class (Class 15A, 15B and 15C) must send two copies of each title or volume – none of these are returnable. Periodicals shall exhibit a complete volume or year. Philatelic Literature exhibits must be received by the Organizing Committee no later than May 3, 2019, in order that preliminary judging may take place. The Literature exhibits will not be returned. Indian Winners at Thailand 2018 World Stamp Exhibition



THAILAND 2018 was an extraordinary world stamp exhibition organized by the Philatelic Association of Thailand under the Patronage of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn from November 28 to December 3, 2018 at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, Bangkok, Thailand on the auspicious occasion of the First Anniversary Celebration of H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s Royal Coronation Ceremony. The 75th Congress of the International Philatelic Federation (FIP) was also  held at THAILAND 2018.



Ajeet Raj Singhee was the Jury from India, Madhukar Jhingan, National Commissioner and Rajesh Paharia was Apprentice National Commissioner from India.
