Shree Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, dedicated to an incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu, was built by the Hoysalas in the early 13th century. It is located in Bhadravati town, Shivamogga District of Karnataka state. The basic building material being Soap stone.

Kudli is a small village in Shivamogga District, is the place where two rivers, the Tunga River and Bhadra River meet to give rise to the Tungabhadra River. A view of the Sangama makes the place exotic with the 12th century Rameshwara Temple adding to its culture-rich natural beauty. A small temple with Nandi denotes the exact point where the two rivers meet and is considered to be sacred.

Padma Vibhushan Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar (1918-2014), an ambassador of Yoga, united the world through Yoga and gave new life to millions of people. These special covers were is released on 17-12-2018 and 16-02-2019 to mark his birth centenary, at his birth place Bellur in Kolar district of Karnataka.

A commemorative stamp has been issued by Minister of Communications and Minister of State, Railways, Shri Manoj Sinha,Deputy CM Shri Keshav Prasad Mauraya,CPMG Shri.Vinay Singh and PMG Allahabad on Kumbh Praygraj at Allahabad today.

Monti Fest - 8 Sepember 2018, Bangalore

Every year on 8th September Mangalorean Catholics world over celebrate the nativity of Mary, mother of Jesus. The festival which originated at Mangaluru in 1763 is known as Monti Fest. Children bring flowers to worship mother Mary. New paddy (novem) is blessed and eaten on this day. This is also celebrated as harvest festival. This is an integral part of the cultural heritage of Mangaluru.

On the occasion of the 50th Sanyam Swarn Jayanti Mahotsav of Pujya Jain Acharya Vidhyasagar Ji Maharaj, India Post has released a special cover and special cancellation at Satna (M. P.) In a graceful function on 17th July 2018. Mr. A. K. Jain Superintendent of Post Offices was chief guest and senior Philatelist Mr. Sudhir Jain Secretary Central India Philatelic Society presided the function. Society President Mr. Lajpat Rai given welcome speech and Jainism Philately Group member Mr. Rajendra Agarwal Shashi given vote of thanks. Beautiful coloured folder and My stamp on Acharya Vidhyasagar Ji was also released in this function. Function was attended by large number of Philatelists, Jain community members and citizens.
