Highlights of AMSIPEX-27

• All eligible exhibits, including Single-Frame exhibits, will be awarded medals.

• Novice Class for first-time and otherwise ineligible exhibitors.

• Broad Spectrum Exhibition – Exhibits under all FIP classes are welcome, with a focus on Aero- and Astrophilately.

• World Team Championship (Single Frame) – Aggregate scores of 3-person National/Club teams. More than one team from any nation or club is welcome.

• Experimental Multi-Language Format – Exhibits in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish are accepted and can be viewed in both the original language and English.

• Youth Class – The first entry is free, and additional entries receive a 50% discount

Glimpses: Vadophil 51st Anniversary Release 

Baroda Philatelic Society marked its 51st anniversary with a special coffee-table edition of Vadophil, released during a Zoom meeting on 11 June 2026.  

The publication was formally unveiled by Shri Ganesh Sawaleshwarkar, Chief Postmaster General of the Gujarat Postal Circle, and Shri Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Postmaster General of the Vadodara Region.  

The online ceremony was attended by 45 participants, including society members and distinguished philatelists from across India. 

Shri Ganesh Sawaleshwarkar, Chief Postmaster General of the Gujarat Postal Circle, and Shri Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Postmaster General of the Vadodara Region graced the occasion.

On 22 May 2026, the Department of Posts participated in the celebration of International Day for Biological Diversity organised by the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, and the Ladakh Biodiversity Council at the DIHAR Auditorium, Leh.

To commemorate the occasion, the Department of Posts issued a picture postcard and a special cancellation.Shri Rajesh S, IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Member Secretary, Ladakh Biodiversity Council, attended the event as Chief Guest. Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder President of MIMC Leh, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.

Boston 2026 World Stamp Expo

 

The 12th international philatelic exhibition  is being hels held May 23-30, 2026 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. 

Boston 2026 is underway with a total of 841 entries comprising of 649 exhibits and 192 literature entries. After the host country USA, India is the largest participant with 49 entries comprising 26 exhibits and 23 literature class entries. The 26 exhibits aggregate to 137 frames. This is a remarkable achievement.A big shout out to our commissioners, AMSI member Pratisad Neurgaonkar and Anil Reddy of SIPA for the outstanding effort in getting ASI clearance, shipping and logistics and mounting all the exhibits. A fantastic service to Indian Philately.
