Hi ! It has been a long time since I last wrote about Europa 2010 stamps. Well many new stamps have been issued since then featuring the wonderful theme of Children’s books. The colorful stamps are so fascinating and just make any one to fall in love with books. I must admire that the themes selected for Europa stamps are always very good and eye catching. So enjoy the wonderful collection of Europa Stamps….In Club News our reader Mr Rajprit Singh Saluja of Kanpur shares his experience at Singapore Philatelic Museum which he recently visited…The pics give a glimpse of the magnificent Philatelic Museum of Singapore. Of course if such museums are set up in India, it will be a great tourist attraction. The personalized stamps have become very much popular with philatelists and non philatelists these days. It should also be introduced in India now… This is all for today….Till Next Post….Have a Nice Time !

Glimpses of Singapore Philatelic Museum
Our member Mr Rajprit Singh Saluja from Kanpur recently visited Singapre Philatelic Museum. Here he shares his experience and some pics of this grand Museum with the readers..
Mr Rajpri Singh Saluja writes from Kanpur….
We went to the philatelic bureau and museum , we were greeted there by the staff with a warm smile .They made us comfortable and guided us to the museum . The bureau had a good collection of not only the new stamp issues , but also was well stocked with old stamps , covers , post cards , books & periodicals , albums , philatelic souvenirs , unsorted stamps bargain lots etc. I bought some philatelic material and also got a snap clicked by the bureau staff, which was used for a personal stamp .
We had a wonderful and enriching experience there . My personal observations about the Philatelic Museum of Singapore are :
- Philatelic Tourism is an important avenue for Singapore Tourist Department .
- The Singapore Postal Department makes a lot of effort to market their philatelic items to philatelists [Tourists or otherwise] .
- Personal stamps are a good way of luring stamp lovers and generating revenue for the Department .
- The bureau staff is well trained and extremely courteous.
- The Bureau was well stocked with philatelic items .
- Having a Philatelic museum , alongwith a philatelic bureau , not only augments the revenue needs of the Bureau , but also makes it a tourist attraction .
