Hi ! The year 2009 is being celebrated as International Year of Astronomy and this year's EUROPA theme is also astronomy. I have written about some stamps on this theme in some of my posts earlier. Here are some more issues on EUROPA theme with wonderful designs. These stamps have been issued by Germany ( depicted above), Austria, Turkey, Norway and Great Britain. The stamp of Great Britain is different from rest of the stamps as it features famous astronomer, Professor Martin Ryle. Sir Martin Ryle. was an English radio astronomer who developed revolutionary radio telescope systems. Its a beautiful stamp commemorating great Astronomer (shown below). This is all for Today !.....Till Next Post....Have a Nice Time !
