Hi ! After a long time I came across another lovely 'Rainbow' on stamp issued by Germany on 2 January 2009. The other stamps of the set are shown below. These are charity stamps depicting four different meterological phenomenona.Sky is one of the best and most beautiful gifts of Nature. Sometimes its great to look at the sky to see something beautiful and unusual. We often get chance to see a rainbow and lightnings during rains and also various eye pleasing views formed by the clouds. The view of the clouds is different in hills as sometimes they give a magnificent look by upward movement from lower hills to upper area. Luckily I have a chance to see several pictresque views of the clouds as I have been living in a hills since a long time. But all of these rainbow is my all time favourite. If I get it on a stamp I am really thrilled. Here is the beautiful stamp perhaps going to be most beautiful stamp for the year 2009 for me.As the stamps depicting a Rainbow are rarely seen and issued. Scientifically Rainbow is known as an arch of the diffracted sunlight. It emerges in the result of refraction, diffraction and the total internal reflection of solar rays in the small raindrops in the atmosphere. It is visible only if the Sun shines from behind of the observer and is sufficiently low (less than 40 degrees) above the horizon. This is the science of Rainbow but its beauty is beyond compare.Lightnings are not cool and beautiful as rainbow sometimes they give a shuddering experience and at night it increases our heartbeat and lightens the dark room at night giving an experience of a horror movie . Lightning is the atmospheric electric discharge, born in the high rainclouds (cumulonimbus) in the result of the great temperature gradient and the strong wind. The lightning in fact is an electric spark, zeroing the charge difference between the cloud and the earth or between two individual clouds. However its a wonderful phenomenon . The spark in the dark clouds also represents high energy so it has its own beauty and philosophy though sometimes horryifying. I am very thankful to our very distinguished member Mr. Shrikant Parikh, from Ahmedabad who sent me theses amazing images remembering my favourite theme and adding colours with a real rainbow in today's Post ! Well this is the RAINBOW Post for Today!.... Stay tuned !.....Till Next Post....... ...Have a Great Time !
