Club News

It is really very nice to receive news from differernt parts of India . I express my gratitude to all distinguished readers who contribute for this blog and make it interesting and also lot of thanks to those who sent letters of appreciation for Rainbow Stamp Club . Personalized stamps have become very popular round the globe these days. Here is a news on personalized stamp and a personalized postcard which is sent by our eminent member Shri Shrikant Parikh from Ahmedabad.He received these items from his son Mr. Kaushal who recently visited Singapore and China. Air -Mail letter with personalised stamp of Mr. Kaushal

My son Kaushal was in Singapore and in China in recent past.

1. Personalised stamp : From Changi Airport, Singapore he got his personalised stamps attached as se-tenant with stamps of Singapore and sent me a registered Airmail letter with correct postage.

2. Personalised Postcard : He was in Shanghai/China on 9th June 2008 and visited Jin Mao Observatory, which is 340 Meters high with 88 floors. On 88th floor, there is the biggest observation deck of Shanghai, interstingly for philatelists, having Post office of People's Republic of China, which is the highest P.O.in China. Here, the visitor can have personalised numbered Postcard of 80 Jiao imprinted stamp with his/her photograph with date and time also printed in one corner.

To encourage and expand Philately, these measures are of immense importance. Such lovely products are most welcome in India where so many places of tourist interest exist.
