World Hindi Day 2021 Celebration at Bengaluru GPO

 


To commemorate World Hindi Day 2021, CPMG Karnataka circle released one postcard and ephermal postmark on 10th January 2021 at Meghdoot GPO Bengaluru.





This event was organised by the Postcrossing Society of India under the aegis of TOLIC and India Post.All officials and their family members were invited to use postcards to express their thought on promotion of Hindi as official language. The three best entries were awarded.




There was a competition of drawing / illustrating an Indian Postage stamp on postcard as the
canvas.
Three best artworks were awarded with trophies. There was a completion on Hindi Caligraphy too which was well subscribed and resulted in three entries selected as picturesque for award. Postcrossers, philatelists, participants with families attended this first of this kind event in India.

New book on Buddhism theme released

 



A  Book “ Buddhism on Stamps” by Shri M . Lokeshwara Rao was released by CPMG Karnataka Circle on 7th January 2021 at Bangalore

The new book “Buddhism on Stamps” focuses on how different philatelic materials can narrate the story of Gautama Buddha. Different available philatelic material like Stamps, stamp blocks, 3D stamps, Silk stamps, Se-tenant, FDC, Miniature Sheets, Souvenir Sheets, Maxim Cards, Postcards, covers, gutter, booklets, errors, proofs etc are included from different countries of the World.

 

 There are 22 chapters Jataka Kathas (Stories), Birth of Buddha ,Twelve Deeds of Buddha, Symbols of Buddhism, Monasteries,  Prayer Flag,  Prayer Wheel, Musical Instruments of Buddhism, Four Mythical Animals, Six Elements of Longevity, Precious Attributes of Universal King, Teachings of Buddha, Buddhist Mudras, etc

PANFILA BALIPHEX 2020

BALIPHEX 2020 was held  from 28 to 31 December 2020 at the Main Atrium 1st floor Mall Level 21 Denpasar, Bali Indonesia.

Jury Report

Greetings Philately,

Before we submitted the PANFILA BALIPHEX 2020 jury report, please allow us on behalf of the jury team to congratulate all The PANFILA BALIPHEX 2020 committee which has successfully organized the PANFILA BALIPHEX 2020 well, in a very short preparation time during the situation of the Covid 19 pandemic. Regarding the results of the judging, we can report the following:

1. The total number of collections that came in total was 90 collections, consisting of 211 frames and 3 books.

2. The number of participants comes from 7 Indonesian Philatelists Association Regional Administrators, as follows: NORTH SUMATERA, WEST SUMATERA, BANTEN, DKI JAKARTA, WEST JAVA, EAST JAVA and BALI, plus participants from abroad, namely from INDIA, SINGAPORE and GERMANY.

3. The jury team is very proud of the collections displayed at PANFILA BALIPHEX 2020 which has been revamped and developed according to the advice of the jury team of previous PANFILA to obtain increase in score and medal level.

4. The jury team is also very happy and proud of the appearance of several new collections and new exhibitors in this PANFILA BALIPHEX 2020. Expected new collections and new exhibitors can be even more refreshing and lively any future philatelic events.

 5. Out of a total of 90 collections, the PANFILA BALIPHEX 2020 jury team gave 2 LARGE GOLD medals, 4 GOLD medals, 2 LARGE VERMEIL medals and 8 VERMEIL medals to the considered collections meet the requirements to participate in international exhibitions. Other collections are expected to be improved in the next PANFILA in order to achieve the expected standards.

6. The jury team has decided that the best PANFILA BALIPHEX 2020 collection is given to SAID FAISAL BASYMELEH, with the title OLD SOERABAIA 1898- 1918, and the best collection of teen level is given to JAAGRUTHI N. ADKA under the title OLYMPICS - BIRD EYE VIEW. The jury team congratulates to the winners.

This is the report of the PANFILA BALIPHEX 2020 jury team, We expected at the upcoming National Philatelic Exhibition, all Indonesian Philatelists Association Regional Administrators will improve the quality of the collection. Denpasar, December 31, 2020
