New Stamp from India

 

 

 

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee released a commemorative stamp on Anagarika Dharmapala at the function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 25th October 2014 to mark 150th birth anniversary of Anagarika Dharmapala. Anagarika Dharmapala  played a leading role in the revival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka and other parts of the world.

Philatelic & Numismatic Welfare Association, Krishna District, Vijayawada is going to conduct an exhibition of stamps, coins and currency notes on 14, 15, 16 November, 2014 at K.B.N. College, Kothapet, Vijayawada-1.  The exhibition timing is 9.30 am to 7.30 pm.  There will be 30 dealer’s booths – of which 6 premium stalls and 24 standard stalls.

Ananthapuripex-2014, Thiruvananthapuram District Level Philatelic Exhibition at Thiruvananthapuram - 13th - 14th November 2014.

'Ananthapuripex-2014', Thiruvananthapuram District Level Philatelic Exhibition will be organised on 13th and 14th November 2014 at Bhagyamala Auditorium, Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram by Thiruvananthapuram North Postal Division. Painting and quiz competitions for school children  and Philatelic workshops will also be conducted during the exhibition. ‘My Stamp’ counter will also be opened at the venue. On the occasion two special covers will also be released on the theme “Mangalyan” and “Fort Girls High School, Thiruvananthapuram.”  Dealer’s booths are available for a rent of Rs.3000/- for two days.

ROCPEX-2014, Tiruchirappalli District Level Philatelic Exhibition will be held on 21st and 22nd November 2014 at Bishop Heber College, Puthur, Tiruchirappalli - 620 017. The exhibition is being organised by O/o the Sr. Superintendent of Post Offices, Tiruchirappalli Postal Division in co-operation with the Postmaster General, Central Region, Tamilnadu.
