Hi !
Here are greeting stamps being issued today by Singapore Post featuring Greetings in sign language. The stamps have been designed so beautifully with five common greeting signs ! These are very exclusive stamps on “Greeting” theme and collectors would definitely like to have them in their collection. The stamps create awareness about sign language in general public and demonstrates how to convey greetings to those suffering from hearing inability.
To foster greater interaction with the deaf community, SingPost will release today a new stamp issue, Greetings - Sign Language . In this stamp issue, five basic greetings in sign language - 'Hi', 'Welcome', 'Thanks', 'Good Bye' and 'I Love You' will be featured. The aim is to raise awareness of sign language and how to communicate with the deaf in their form of communication.
The stamps were designed by Mr Kenny Tiang, a member of The Singapore Association for the Deaf, and will be released at all post offices and the Singapore Philatelic Museum along with their First Day Covers.
