Bihar Stamp Expo 2012 - concluded…
The day 4 (13.02.2012) at Bihar Stamp Expo 2012 was commenced with release of a Special Cover on ‘Save Girl Child – Save Earth’ and a Stamp Booklet on ‘Save Ganga’. The guests in honour were Sri Kishor Kunal, Chairman Bihar Dharmik Nyas Parishad; Sri Ravikant, Cabinet Secretary, Government of Bihar; Sri I. D. S. Dhariwal, Principal Auditor General, Bihar and Sri Anil Pujara, Head of Human Resources, Union Bank of India, Bihar Circle. The Special Cover released today was sponsored by Union Bank of India.

The common feeling of the philatelists visiting this State level exhibition that the level and standard of the exhibits displayed was very high. Some senior philatelist from outside Bihar commented that the level is at par of National Level philatelic exhibitions. It shows that the level of exhibiting in Bihar is high and the competition for higher medal and award was very competitive.
Six Gold Medals, Thirteen Silver Medals; Seven Bronze Medals and One Diploma were awarded. One Frame Exhibits were awarded certificates with the marks obtained. There were four exhibits in Championship Class. Dr. Kanwaljit Singh Gandhi was awarded the Championship Trophy for his exhibit entitled ‘Early India Cancellations’.

The panel of jury consist Sri R. D. Binani and Sri Dhananjay Desai. Smt. Kaveri Baneerji, CPMG was the Honorary Chairperson of the jury.

The Four day event was well organized and was praised by one and all the way it was organized. But it was a surprise that the result was not declared before the prize distribution ceremony.
