MAHAPEX 2012 Updates

MAHAPEX 2012 will be held at Wrestling Stadium, Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune from 13 – 15 Jan 2012.

The programme committee has finalized the programme for MAHAPEX 2012 as under:

13 January 2012: Run for Stampino ( the mascot) by 800 school children along with a harkara carrying 500 letters to be sold later. Motto - Passing the philately Mashal (Torch) to the next generation. One head boy /girl will carry the Mashal (Torch), others will carry the placards. Change over of school children at every 500 Meter during Rally where banners will be displayed.

Seminar on Philately- Postal Stationary by Col J Dutta and Pratisad Neurgaonkar.

 13 January 2012 Seminar on Philately- Fiscal Philately by Col J Dutta, Dr Anjali Datta and Ms Jayoti Datta.

Stamp Design competition

 14 January 2012 Inter school philately quiz competition

Workshop on Philately by Col J Dutta, Dr Anjali Datta and Ms Jayoti Datta.

 15 January 2012 Seminar on Thematic Philately by Col J Dutta, Dr Anjali Datta and Ms Jayoti Datta.

8 Special covers will be issued 2 on each day.

16 January 2011  is awards day with Diploma and bronze medals in the morning and Gold and silver and special prizes in the evening

The new venue of MAHAPEX 2012

The new venue of MAHAPEX 2012 is now Wrestling Stadium, Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune. This complex is situated in Balewadi, Pune, about 14–15 km far from Pune downtown and 4–5 km from Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjewadi, Pune. This complex was the venue for the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games.
