Here is a beautiful set of stamps in form of stamp booklet issued by Finnish Post on 150 years of Postcards in Finland. The stamps feature first official postcard and postcards with different themes. The design of the FDC is wonderful in the shape and design of a postcard. The designer of the stamps and First Day cover needs high appreciation for these beautiful and thoughtful exquisite deigns. The designs of Finnish stamps and First day covers  are one of the finest designs in the world. These are always unique  !


Postcard 150 Years




Postcards have relayed the messages and feelings of Finns for 150 years. Susanna Rumpu and Ari Lakaniemi have summarized the history of postcards in a stamp booklet that presents six postcards from different times. The stamps feature one of Finland’s first official postcards from 1871 as well as a postcard featuring the Finnish flag and a farmer, a military postcard from the war years, a fairytale-themed postcard illustrated by Rudolf Koivu and a landscape postcard showing Porvoo. The Postcard 150 Years stamp booklet contains six different domestic no-value indicator stamp designs.

SPECIAL COVER ON JAIN VISHVA BHARTI ON 21ST MAY 2021

On the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Jain Vishva Bharti, a special cover is being issued at Indore on 21st May 2021. India Post will provide a special cancellation on the same.

Image of renowned Jain saint Ganacharya Aacharya Tulasi, administrative building and logo of Jain Vishva Bharti will be depicted on the special cover. Various projects of Jain Vishva Bharti like Preksha Dhyan, Literature publication, Education, Medical help, Distance learning, Social service are also included in the design of special cover.

Concept and design of this cover has been developed by senior Philatelist of Indore Dr. Ravindra Pahalwan and Mr. Rajesh Kothari. Cover will be available at Indore Philatelic Bureau @ 10/- plus 5/- cost of stamp.
