Dear Philatelic Friends,

Why not submit your philatelic publication as an entry for an international competition? This year, the lucrative CG International Philatelic Promotion Award will be given for the second time.

Auction House Christoph Gärtner is best known for the large international auctions we have been holding three to four times annually since 2006. Today, we would like to introduce you to another aspect of our commitment to philately: the CG International Philatelic Promotion Award, initiated and funded by Auction House Christoph Gärtner.

The award got great interest from all around the world in its highly successful first year, 2013. This fortified us in our belief that there is a strong interest in promoting philatelic research and the preservation of philatelic knowledge.

Research should never come to a halt, and therefore we encourage you to continue your commitment to philately. With this letter I would like to invite you personally to participate in this competition to present your own fascinating philatelic research to a wide audience as well as an international judging panel. This is a chance not only to compete, but also to learn from your fellow collectors’ submissions.

The competition is open to all philatelic groups, clubs, associations, societies and publishers of philatelic magazines and newsletters publishing a periodical anywhere in the world. In the competition, print media, digital media and the promotion of young talent/public relations shall be considered as a whole. The judging panel is independent in their deliberations and decisions and Auction House Christoph Gärtner is not involved in the assessment process.

Entries for this year’s award must be received by September 15th, 2014.
