Dil hoom hoom kare…..The golden voice of Bhupen Hazarika is silent now

Bhupen Hazarika, known for his haunting, resounding melodies like "Dil hoom hoom kare" and "Ganga behti ho kyon" is no more but his songs will always be with music lovers. He was one of my favorite singers…Just wish to share here his most melodious song of Rudali….and some other songs I like most….This post is tribute  the great singer….

Ganga……

A Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner, Hazarika's lyrics and voice lent a special flavour to several Bollywood songs and put the spotlight on music from Assam.Noted for his clear diction and voice, he sang his first song "Biswa nijoy nojowan" for Assamese film "Indramalati" when he was just 12.Later on, he sang soulful songs in Assamese, Bengali and Hindi.

Dole He Dola is Bhupen Hazarika’s most famous and popular song…..

Bhupen Hazarika was a  multifaceted genius, a poet, music composer, singer, actor, journalist, author and film-maker of the very highest repute. He was born in 1926, in Sadiya, Assam.
