The Miniature Sheet marking "Stamp Day 2009" in Bulle depicts Gruyeres Castle (Gruyer is known for his worldwide reputed hard cheese) in an autumn landscape, towering over the medieval town of the same name which lies about 4 kilometers south-east of Bulle, the chief town of Gruyère District. The sheet also features the emblem of Gruyère - the crane (or "grue" in French)- after which the region is probably named. The Moléson mountain peak visible behind the castle and the crane, is one of the highest points in Canton (District) Fribourge at 2002 metres and much loved landmark. The cover was posted at Lausanne Post Office ( Located at Lausanne Olympic Museum).

Thanks David !
