Today I have a very beautiful and unusual shape of stamp to show you. Its scan has been sent by our member Mr. Anurag Verma from Jallandhar and for the lighter side of philately a joke too. Thank u so much Mr. Verma. It really makes this e-club interesting. I have also a big contribution from our most distinguished member Mr. Shrikant Parikh of Ahmedabad who has the credit of listing all the se-tenant stamps sheetlets and Miniature sheets of India. Recently he has completed another worthwhile and challenging collection of Combinations of Se-tenant stamps from 1974 till date and has also prepared a CD of it. He was instrumental in promoting the collection of Se-tenant Stamps of India, and through Gujrat Philatelists' Association, has published 2 albums for Se-tenant stamps, and Miniature sheets. Recently he was awarded ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ by Michel a well known stamp catalogue publishing company of Germany for his unfailing services of 30 years to them. The list will be very useful for the collectors of se-tenant stamps.
Mr. Anurag Verma from Jalandhar writes.........
Lithuania has issued a stamp shaped like a raindrop to commemorate its participation in Spain’s Expo Zaragoza, 2008.
Philatelic Humor:
Two wives gossip: “You know my Husband is a heavy drinker, I think he might be alcoholic”
The other wife replies:” Alcoholic” !!!! I have worse: My Husband is a philiyster,….oh no,….no,…..he is a syphilist or something like that…..!!!
Voice from the adjacent room:-“How many times I have to tell you that I am a Philatelist”.
Se-tenant- A French term meaning ' joined together' used to describe adjoining stamps which differ from each other in value, design,or in some other respect such as one overprinted or surcharged, and the other not . It has become common practice to include two or more different designs- arranged horizontally side-by-side, or vertically se- tenant - in the one sheet of stamps. In some cases, pairs or larger combinations of stamps form a composite design, these being arranged se-tenant within the sheets.

The remaining list will be published in forthcoming posts.
